Josh does the UK
by docsmartypants

Before we left for the UK, I asked our trusty dog/condo/plant-sitter Josh what he’d like us to bring him back as a souvenir. In addition to wanting a hot British man and some nice clothes, Josh requested that we bring a photo of him with us and take pictures of it in various spots so he could imagine he’d been along for the trip.

Here you go, Joshua:

Josh, slightly jet-lagged, at Avebury.

Look closely--there's little Josh at Stone Henge!

Colin Firth’s Mr. Darcy gazes longingly at Josh in the restroom at the Jane Austen Museum in Bath.

Josh enjoys a Peeptini at the Roman Baths in Bath.

Josh admires the beauty of Wells Cathedral.

Josh quickly masters the maze at Longleat.

Josh explores Caerphilly Castle in Wales.

Josh in front of the Millennium Center in Cardiff, Wales.

Josh catches the eye of a knight in Conwy, Wales.

Josh says, "Rules be damned!" in Conwy.

Josh takes in a Man United game at Old Trafford.

Josh enjoys seeing John Simm in "Hamlet" in Sheffield, England.

Josh enjoys a Peeptini after crossing the stepping stones at Bolton Abbey.

Josh admires the Bridge of Sighs at Cambridge University.

Josh in the London Underground.

Josh at the British Museum in London.

Josh by the River Thames with the Millennium Bridge and St. Paul's Cathedral behind him.

Yes, we got a lot of strange looks from people around us. Thanks, Josh!

These photos ARE fantastic. Now I feel no need to visit the UK whatsoever. These photos are better than any I would ever appear in, and I got to be sauced up the entire trip. Who drinks a peeptini at a Man United game? This guy. Who drinks a peeptini in the underground tube? This guy. Drunken hedge maze? This guy.

I’m very pleased. You’ve done well. Next time, try and take pictures of the people looking strangely at us as you take the picture of my cutout. Did any people run up to me and ask for my autograph? I would. That’s a sexy bitch right there.

Thanks guys. Love you bunches. Glad you’re back.

Stacey: I actually wondered if I should have brought along a little you as well, but I didn’t know if you would think it was sweet or just sad.

Josh: No one asked for your autograph, but a few of the Man United players tried to chat you up. And John Simm was clearly giving you the eye.

In response to several conversations I have now had with people:

    Q. Did you really carry around a paper cutout of Josh, or did you Photoshop him in after the fact?

    A. Paper Josh really came everywhere on the trip with me. He traveled in my purse. He was at the play. He toured the castles. He was even around for the vomitourism. If I’d Photoshopped him in he wouldn’t be out of focus half the time.

Q: How big was this cutout of Josh?

    A: About three inches high.

Q: Was paper Josh really jet-lagged?

A: Yes. That’s why he has that blurry look about him, especially in the earlier photos. He also spent the entire trip drinking Peeptinis, which didn’t help.

Q: Will you take a paper cutout of me on your next trip?

A: If you dog/condo/plant-sit for us, yes.
