25 Days: It’s a Wonderful Life

It’s a Wonderful Life (1946) James Stewart, Donna Reed, Lionel Barrymore

I know a lot of people don’t like It’s a Wonderful Life, but I really do. I love the basic message that even a life that seems very small can have a big impact.

The plot: Seriously, guys? Have you been living under a rock at the bottom of the sea? We all know what this movie is about. George (Stewart) has spent his life being the responsible one, giving up his dreams time and time again to step in and take care of others. When he finally reaches a breaking point one Christmas Eve, he decides the world would have been better off without him, but his guardian angel gives him a creepy Twilight Zone-style glimpse of that world, and it is surprisingly bleak.
