Holy bajolies! After months of pain, we finally signed on our condo this morning. We are now homeowners. I will miss Beacon Hill (and all the money that used to live in my bank account), but this promises to be an exciting new adventure for us. Wish us luck!
Here are a few photos of the place that we took this afternoon.
Here are some photos from our brief visit to Moab, Utah. Enjoy!
Larry and I spent a few minutes today looking at paint colors on the internet. Over at the My Perfect Color site you can sort the colors by mood and style. Intrigued, Larry had me click on “Romantic Colors”–mostly shades of pink and lilac with names like “Gentle Kisses,” “Candle Glow Rose,” “Silent Arabian Nights,” and “Pure Desire.”
Oh, and “Hamster Cuddles.”
*blink*
*blink, blink*
Ummm…because nothing says romance like cuddling with a small furry animal?
(cue “Dueling Banjoes” and/or an inappropriate Richard Gere joke–I’ll let you decide)

Friday night we hosted our annual Peeptini Party, with Josh and Heather’s assistance (and apartment). We had an excellent turnout: Josh, Heather, Dan, Ed, Kenneth, James, Laura, Stacey, Kristin, Matt, Catherine, Lindsey, Tom, Sabie, Larry, and me! There were drinks, snacks, games, laughs, conversations, and one dramatic Peeptini-related injury. All in all, I’d say it was our best Peeptini event yet!
Here are some photos from the festivities.
Today is a day of mourning in the DocSmartypants household. Looks like our condo deal has died. The seller is being completely inflexible and, quite frankly, stupid.
I am working hard to manage my disappointment and frustration, but I have to say that I’m taking it pretty hard. I had a good feeling about the place, and we made them a very reasonable counter offer, and I can’t help feeling that they are just being, as my friend Jen put it, greedy asshats.
And with that said, our condo hunt continues.
